HESD and its component schools will receive technical assistance with  design, planning, training and implementation. According to the Oregon RTI website, Response to Intervention systems provide targeted, effective instruction to meet the needs of all students and the framework to identify students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD). The focus of the project is on literacy, early intervention, and the use of evidenced-based practices. Oregon Department of Education, in partnership with the Oregon Response to Intervention team, reviews the applications for participation. HESD will soon receive a schedule of upcoming events and a description of the award amount.
