Besides entertaining his audience with strategies for creativity and bringing passion to their teaching, Burgess emphasized the importance of getting kids "hooked" into their classroom. Prizes were awarded for pirate costumes. Teachers from Idaho, Vale, and John Day as well as Harney County attended this exciting teaching seminar, which was proudly sponsored by Harney ESD.
